Overcoming, when the "real" work begins pt 3

This week author is Susan Groce Newnam! Check out her interview

Tell me about yourself.

My name is Susan Newnam.  I am a happy wife and mother of three amazing children  ages 19,15, & 8.  I am an entrepreneur  with a passion for helping others.  My 15 yro daughter and I recently joined Color Street,  which provides an alternative to pricey salon manicures.  We offer 100% nail polish strips  that are quick and easy to apply and last up to 2 weeks!  They are affordable, and beautiful.  If anyone wants to know about Color Street please let me know!

Why did you decide to be apart of this project?

I was grateful to be a part of the Surviving in Silence team, and was honored to tell  my stories.  I want to help other women to realize that they are worth of being loved, and to let them know they aren't alone.

Someone out there is looking to overcome, what is ONE tip you would give them?

Yes, I said "Stories".  I have two.  I actually allowed two different men to take advantage of me in two  very different ways.  but they were both abusive.  I want women in either of these situations to know that they are not "Less" because of mistakes they have made, and I want to help them change their circumstances.

What is your superpower? I wouldn't say that I have any super powers, but I have an amazing way of calming the Chaos, and putting the FUN in DysFUNctional!  I've learned to take a humorous approach to most things, and often find it hard to be serious.  I try to find the good in every situation, and it has truly made a difference in my attitude, and my outlook on life!
